I have been working with children, adolescents and adults for over 27 years, first in the capacity as a Director of Children Programming in local ministries, and then as a Licensed Professional Counselor starting in 2009. I have provided trauma-informed and supportive mental health and substance abuse counseling interventions in multiple treatment settings, including schools, churches, community outpatient centers, jails, and hospitals.

I began LifeSong Counseling because I want to use my creativity, energy and professional training to help others in their own journey to healing. Recently, I completed Level 3 Training for couples/marriage counseling using the Gottman Method. I am passionate about healthy marriages and helping couples turn toward one another, effectively manage conflict and share life dreams.

My husband and I have been married 20 years and we have six children, five grandchildren and a dog named Atticus. I enjoy reading, taking walks on the bike path and doing around the house projects.

Get to know Matthew

Office Manager

Matthew has been behind the scenes in support of LifeSong Counseling from the beginning. Matt helps new individuals and couples by setting up their first appointment and providing them with the necessary paperwork to get started. He answers the phone and facilitates inquiries about the practice. He even cleans the office.

He and Rebecca have been married for over 20 years.
