WHAT TO EXPECT AS A NEW CLIENT

Trying a new melody or rhythm in your life song can be scary.  Taking the first step can be the hardest because it feels so vulnerable to admit the need for help.  Because counseling explores ways of trying something new and a different way of thinking about ourselves and our situation--it can sometimes even get harder before it gets easier.  With patience and grace throughout the process, relationships are restored, situations are redeemed, and hope is rebuilt.

Are you ready to start your journey toward freedom from anxiety and depression?  Are you tired of fighting with your partner?  Imagine what it would be like to be best friends with your spouse again.

We can help!  To start your journey toward wellness and happiness, fill out the form below or call (937) 245.4269.

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE

No Surprises Act

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate”
explaining how much your medical care will cost

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate or the dispute process, visit https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises/consumers or call 1-800-985-3059.

BENEFITS OF SELF-PAY

1. Quality and Personalized Care

There is no restrictions on treatment for private pay practitioners.  In-network therapists are bound by contracts and have to follow rules and regulations set forth by insurance companies.  When you a self-pay client, you can expect the best treatment options that are tailored to your mental health needs.

2. Time and Attention

Time your therapist spent completing billing and administrative tasks required by insurance companies can be freed to focus more on quality care.

3. Privacy

If billing is submitted to insurance, the insurance company has access to the client's record, including their diagnosis.  As a private pay client, you can protect information about your mental health.

4. Eliminates Surprises from Billing

Fees for services are communicated up front.  There is no guessing about deductibles, coverage and co-pays.

What is a Super Bill?

A superbill is a document that contains all of the information necessary for an insurance company or other third party to make a decision on reimbursement for health expenses incurred by a client. It is not a receipt. It is not an invoice. It is not a claim. A superbill is similar to a claim that you’d send an insurance company.

To find out more information about superbills, including how to submit and what is reimbursed, contact your insurance company.
